Affordable dental advertising ideas to acquire new patients are currently needed by struggling dental practices who are tasked with a potential market failure if the U.S. government fails to resolve the debt ceiling debacle. In addition, dentists are advised to maintain stocks of their vital supplies in advance in the event the market does crash and once available supplies abruptly become limited or overpriced as a consequence of increased inflation.

Inflation and the high unemployment rate in the United States have done little to reassure American citizens that the Recession is over, despite media reports to the contrary. The illusion of a market recovery is manufactured by the Federal Reserve paying for bonds and investments and then selling them back. With the federal government at odds over the nation's exorbitant federal debt and the threat of a credit score downgrade, the value of the dollar continues to drop as the U.S. heads toward a second financial disaster since 2008.

"The current economy is going to take a toll on small enterprises, especially on doctors and dentists. That's why it is important for them to start taking a preventative catalog of the things they need to have on-hand to be able to sustain their treatment centers if the market crashes. ," says Mr. Helmut Flasch, a business and dentist advertising counselor and chief executive officer of Doctor Relations, Inc., a health and dental consulting venture located in the Greater Los Angeles area. Flasch indicates that the U.S. dollar is being devalued at an alarming rate because money is being printed on paper without the backing of silver or gold, and if the market crashes, it will be worthless.

"The U.S. had been great throughout the go-go '90s. People had jobs and disposable money. Now they have debt, lack of employment and a rising cost of living. Never did a country look so good just before it went bust and the America is no different, sadly," states Flasch. He encourages healthcare practitioners to take stock of their medical and dental stock and acquire a suitable supply of basics to store, such as gauze, anesthetics, bandages and packages of non-perishable food supplies. Flasch says that creating a supply stock is similar to putting on a heavy coat if it is expected to snow and that well-prepared medical and dental providers will be able to support their practices during a damaging financial collapse.

"Medical and dental issues do not schedule themselves according to the ups and downs of the market; they happen regardless, and that ultimately pushes someone to seek medical or dental attention before the problem escalates. Whether there's a market crash or not, you don't want to turn away your patient simply because you had no Novocain in stock," says Flasch. He continues by saying that even in hard times, a well-prepared dentist who has been tracking economic developments will still be in business because he knew to stock up on vital supplies that might become either unavailable or suddenly cost-prohibitive due to rising inflation.

Mr. Flasch also counsels that dentists and doctors need to continue to market themselves to retain public visibility by participating in community instead of using traditional dental advertising. He states that during tough economic periods, people tend to band together. It will not do you any good to be a loner right now. You must work with people in the community who can promote you because costs for a conventional marketing campaign will be cost-prohibitive. Community participation is promotion at a minimal cost since it entails a word-of-mouth campaign in your favor instead of an expensive radio spot." He concludes by saying, "This is a good way for individuals to prepare in case there is another market crash. There's no such thing as bad weather, only poorly thought-out preparations for it."
